From my third day out shooting with ... Snoqualmie Falls, WAThis is the so beautiful Snoqualmie Falls with the Salish Lodge perched right on the edge!! When Dave and I were first getting here, there was no sun and the spray from the Falls was instantly coating our lenses (I got sooo wet, you wouldn't believe it!!
)... but then a magical moment and the sun broke through the clouds, and the rainbow appears!!! This was such an exciting shoot, I cannot even describe!! I hope that you are enjoying this photo and the next one as much as I do!!

I can imagine your excitement at seeing this - I'd've been scrambling down the bank looking for the pot of gold, probably getting soaked as a result!
For me this is definitely the better composition - much more of a sense of balance in this photo. I'd like to see the colours brought out and contrasted a bit more though: a quick play about in Levels should do the trick (Levels, RGB Channel, somewhere around Input Levels 43, 0.85, 239 in PS as a rough guideline 
can't remember whether or not I sent you this link ([link] ) or not, but it's a tutorial on how to bring out the best in your photos by post capture tweaking. I've found it really entertaining and useful without being ridiculously technical about it all

Wonderful shot! Love moments like those that give you that perfect shot. The lodge is a good contrast to the falls, letting you realize just how big they actually are.
