Description So then, the new face of the law is here, and it's not even a face technically! He's officer Burnbright III, doing what he can to take Layen back from the area's Heros and Villans... or at least making sure that it's clean of crime either way.

Now, ENGAGE THE CHASE MUSIC! [link]

--------------------------------

Name: (Officer) Burnbright III *Current leader of the LEPO*

Height: Close to 6-7 ft with the hat... which is obviously quite large

Weight: 314lbs

Strengths:
-Despite his appearance, Burnbright is in fact a heavy weight being made of cast iron with the chest portion wrapped in stainless steel. Ever wonder what it's like to fight a cast iron stove? He'll be happy to demonstrate.
-That being said, it will take a lot to physically damage him. Something much higher in the caliber range if you're talking about bullets.
-For when it's handy, Burnbright can dismantle himself or just contort his joints into organically unreachable positions since there really isn't anything holding him together.

Weaknesses:
-Burnbright can be forcefully disassembled with a good bit of force, but can be kept that way with very little force depending on the distance of the part in relation to his torso or head.
-Burnbright's experience on his home planet only offered him slow and heavier opponents. In close quarters combat, a lighter, more agile opponent will always have an edge to his fighting style so long as they keep away from his blows.
-The orbs that dot each joint are data nodes. These can be disrupted and eventually dissipated under constant electric or physical interference.
-Remove Burnbright's lantern head and he'll have a much harder time co-ordinating his attacks.

History:
Burnbright once was in the lead guard of the protective services for the Singularity Flame back on his home planet. He was actually quite good at his job, but after one slip up that put the SF in jeopardy he was relived of his duties and re-assigned to another planet by his overseeing council as a way to redeem himself. To this day he won't say what exactly he'd done, but whatever it was had to have been quite serious.

Upon arrival in Layen, Burnbright got right to work re-establishing some sort of police force, but found it quite difficult since most of the force had dispersed in response to the local groups. To help kickstart things, he commissioned his police force through the child king Rupert, arguing that a Layen without its groups constantly quarreling over territory and power would be overall better; To get that outcome, he needed money and backing from Rupert. It took some rewording and some party tricks to keep his attention, but it was finally done.

Burnbright was granted the authority to act as standing head officer of Layen's new police force LEPO and the resources to run it. With that, LEPO took residence in the recently abandoned police station, which was more like an overwatch skyscraper than simple office. He also was granted his own cruiser/interceptor as a way of travel and pursuit.

Personality: Burnbright III isn't one to back down from a challenge whether it be running Layen's police force or a fight. This may be directly related to his strengths, but they'll soon be fleeting should he go against some of the residents Layen has to offer. He tries to be fair in most aspects, but finds it increasingly hard to keep his cool when offering to balance things out for his rivals. Most of his actions are cool and calculated, but become drastically dependent on on-the-fly thinking when things heat up.

Weapons/Equipment:
-High Caliber Hand Gun/ This weapon crafted from the gunsmiths of his home planet was designed with only stopping power in mind. This gun packs the punch of bullets that rival soda cans, and they certainly don't disappoint. It's a single shot due to the size of the ammunition, and it won't be winning accuracy points due to its short barrel. It was made to be used at close range against other data golems sporting bodies of anything from cast iron to stone. It's no surprise that these rounds make quick work of vehicles, and even quicker work of their drivers. Should the situation call, it can be loaded with beanbags.
-Cruiser/Intercepter/ Burnbright's pride and joy! The LEPO's one and only vehicle designated to Burnbright is used for patrolling, rapid response, and even pursuit of other vehicles. Don't let the curvy exterior fool you. This car's real power lies at the heart of a monster motor sporting a Supercharged 8.4liter V8. No dyno tests have been run on the car, but the power speaks for itself once the foot hits the floor. Considering its line of work, its frame and drivetrain have been strengthened to stand a better chance against larger vehicles and to be that much more of a threat to smaller ones.

Special Ability!- The Officer Burnbright III you see is only a shell for the data flame that lies inside the lamp head. When he needs to beef up to ensure he has a fighting chance against his opponent, his flame can engulf the lamp head and use it to strengthen his attraction on surrounding objects. Rubble, vehicles, plants, anything in the area that isn't planted solidly to the environment can be drawn in and used as armor and means of enlarging himself. It can all be peeled off easier than taking him apart, but that's easier said than done when the pieces are being brought down on you as a bludgeon. Some prefer to blow them off with high explosives and gunfire since once the pieces are made smaller, they lose their overall stopping power.

*reads the Strengths/Special Ability sections*
In other words, if you're stupid enough to try and fight him, you're royally screwed. XD

Ohoho! Only if you think you're slower than a cast iron stove with feet!

I mean, look at what happened to Ivan!
(Also, I'm thinking of putting my new character, who is a cyborg-y type girl, into LEPO, but I'm not sure whether I should have her join LEPO or The Listeners. Any thoughts?)

Ah well, Ivan was admittedly a planned event. Normally I wouldn't escalate things to such a level so quickly and have Burnbright keep coming back, but Tehmasta wanted to "kill" Ivan off and he wanted Burnbright to do it.

As for your idea for a character, I say it's really up to you (even I know I hate when people give me that response lol). LEPO could use the members period, but Listeners could use more active ones. Just know that with the LEPO forces you're technically against everybody rather than either good or evil (since it's deemed that vigilantes are just as detrimental as villains). It doesn't seem to be posing any problems, but just something to keep in mind should it play a part in future events.

At least he'll go out with a bang!
......
That pun was horrible and completely unintended. DX

I decided to put her in the Listeners, but I'll probably make another character who'll be in LEPO.

HNNNNGH, WATCH YO BACK, THE POLICE ARE HERE NOW!

Lol, thanks! He didn't turn out 100% like what I'd imagined, but then again I can't really pin down exactly what he was supposed to be colored anyway! The zappy bits are the best part; tedious but fun lol. GET VLAD IN THERE QUICK, I NEED SOMEONE IN THE PASSENGER SEAT FOR AN AWESOME POLICE CHASE HNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGH!!!

Wait, there's a new faction? Seriously?!

...Well, I guess I can't be surprised. The Book of Layen does talk about police officers, and there haven't been any.

You, good sir, have a fine taste in music. Also, a great design. Wouldn't wanna get on the wrong end of this guy. |D

Actually, it was Natomi's idea to organize a new group (just as Chicken has her new circus).

I chose a group more or less in the neutral position, so I figured the police force would be pretty unbiased as long as both sides went about fighting each other like they do lol.

Yes indeed, fine music brought to you by the makers of the excellent anime Cowboy Bebop!

Why, I could think of anything more suitable than a riveting track from Cowboy Bebop!
