Her golden eyes closed, the light they gave off faded. Her long eyelashes now touched her pale cheeks. Her red lips parted and a sigh escaped. Her perfect blonde ringlets lay at odd angles around her head. One arm lay stretched out, as if to reach for help. The other hand clutched at her chest. The young women's dress lay uniformly around her. It would look like she was sleeping except for the blood that covered her dress and hand, the hand that had tried to keep her precious life blood from leaving her body, but had ultimately failed. The blood pooled now, slowly creeping across the marble floor. All she had been, all she had did, all that was her, spread across the floor with it. Now she was nothing but a shell. Peace, rest. An eternal peace, a last rest, one that she will never wake up from.
