I tried to come up with a clever pun to add to this piece, but failed horrible, rip.This is the first time I drew my character Basil, a bubbly Kooikerhondje!
I'm pretty satisfied with how this one turned out.
Anyway here's my part of the valentines card exchange! I wanted to enter for years now, but never had the motivation.
I also have some valentines day adoptables planned out for the next days! ;>
The perfect card for the Kooikerhondje lover in your life! Or just a person who loves dogs in general. :>

Just a few points to bear in mind ^^
The anatomy here is a bit wonky. It's a bit too tall in proportion to it's body and judging by a reference photo i found here www.google.com/search?q=Kooike… :
I think what threw you off was that the legs were too long, both front and back and that made the whole body too long as well.
You also made the body and legs too straight as well. Look at their bodies from the side www.google.com/search?q=Kooike… : see how curved and slanted the body sits? The lower body and back legs should be a little pushed back in order for it to keep balanced.
The straight legs make it look a kinda stiff. Add more curves and muscle to give it more form.
On the back left leg (our right), I thin you curved the knee here a bit too much, i see this especially in the inner leg. The foot sticks a little too far out and down.
On the right leg(our left) the anatomy is incorrect. Because of the way the knee is bent, the foot wouldn't twist to the side, rather it would be flat on the ground. In order to get the twist you'd have the angle the knee out more and even then the leg would be angled higher.
The chest fur is adorable! But I think it's a little overwhelming that it's all only in the chest. I though you should spread it out more to make it even. Try adding some to the legs, it'll look much more consistent!
Other than a few anatomy fixes I think you did a wonderful job here! I love the coloring and the background especially!
