my parents and I, on the way home from shopping witnessed a car hit a yearling buck.... we had to pull over and see what we could do for it as the other driver sped away... unfortunately it was too badly hurt to call wildlife services and get it help, so my dad did the humane thing and put it out of it's misery.

to help honor the yearling, and calm myself after the shock of what happened, I had decided to draw a yearling buck as closely to the one we saw as possible in a mostly realistic style with hints of my personalized art style.

and to also honor and respect the deer, it shall remain nameless, as it's a wild, majestic and gentle creature.

I hope if its spirit still roams the forests, that it finds peace and remembers none of the agony it experienced before it passed away.
