Episode 13: The Sad Day
An English farm in London...
Runee: G'Day to you good sir!
Mikaeru: Bloody hell....
Runee: *cough* Enough with the fake accents....we need to find aminals!
Mikaeru: Y'know....I'm kinda wondering....how do you even KNOW which animals to ask?
Runee: Actually....its some odd instinct....I feel it. 'THAT'.....and Vince also tells me which ones to ask!
Mikaeru: Of course.... -_-;;;
Runee: Lookit Mikaeru Sama!! Moo-moos!! [hops on a wooden fence]
Mikaeru: You mean cows.... T_T;; [leans on the fence]
Runee: There's so many....which one do you think is the head cow?
Mikaeru: I have no idea....why don't you ask them?
Runee: I'll do just that! [jumps over the fence and walks towards the cows]
Mikaeru: Ano... [sees a sign] Runee-Chan! This is private property! You're not supposed to-
Farmer: Hey You!!
Mikaeru: Meep! O_o;;
Farmer: What in sam-juan hill is she doin' in there?
Mikaeru: Excuse me... ^^;;; Uh...you see....my friend and I came all the way from Japan to see some cows. Uh...there aren't that many cows in Japan. Only the ones we see in McDonalds...and they're dead! And cooked....with some buns and fries...
Farmer: [looks towards Runee] (Mikaeru-still-talking: and those little toys that suck...)
[Runee is on all fours mooing and 'talking' to the cows]
Mikaeru: xD oh...uh...you see....my friend....she's a real big...and I mean BIG fan of livestock...so...
Farmer: I reckon she be a cow 'erself.
Mikaeru: Yes Sir. ^^;;;
Farmer: A'ight. I'll let 'er stay in fer a couple o' minutes.
Mikaeru: O_o; Uh...might I ask why you have a southern accent even though we are in Europe?
Farmer: Why...I'm an american stereotype of a farmer! Can't go wrong without th' accent!
Mikaeru: Eh.... O_o;; sure.....whatever.
Farmer: Oh yeah... make sure she get out after 5. That's killin' time.
Mikaeru: Uh....sure....killing for what?
Farmer: Th' cows that're branded an' ready ta go! [leaves]
Mikaeru: Cows?
Cow Herd....
Runee: Moo Mooooo!!
Cow1: (What a strange looking cow you are. Moo.)
Runee: (Actually....I'm human. Moo.)
Cow2: (But humans cant talk cow-ooo.)
Runee: (I'm actually trying to find what the meaning of life is. Can you tell me?)
Cow1: (Mooo-only the Elderly cow decides who should know.)
Runee: (Can you tell me what she looks like?)
Cow1: (She is the wisest of us all. In age comes widom. And she is truly the wisest.)
Runee: So she's the oldest one....Hmm (Thank you) [walks deeper into the herd]
Calf: (Hi there. Are yu a calf too? Mooo?)
Runee: (WAII!! ^0^ Baby cows are kyute!!!)
Calf: (wanna play with us?)
Runee: (I really have to look for the elder cow)
Calf 2: (You're an odd calf)
Runee: (Yes...I'm actually a human)
Calf 2: (My mama sed that humans will damn us all to hell)
Runee: (Well your mama is wrong. T_T)
Calf 3: (hey guys! There's a human giving some snacks over there! Moo!)
Calfs: Mooo! Moo!! [run over to Mikaeru]
Mikaeru: T_T;; Can't I eat my mochi in peace?
Runee: T_T; Damn kids...I mean....calfs. [continues walking on] Hmm...I'm getting kinda..hungry. *sniff* Mmm....this grass smells so nice and fresh. Wait...what am I saying? Hmm... *munch munch*
Cow: (This is the best side of the plain. Odd for a human as yourself to have found this area)
Runee: Hmm? [looks up at a big cow] *gulp* (You're the elder cow...)
Cow: (I prefer to be called Aka)
Runee: what an odd name.... (Hai...Aka-Sama)
Aka: (Aka-CHAN!)
Runee: (Aka-Chan!? O_o;;; )
Aka: (Yes...the title 'sama' makes me feel older)
Runee: (Eheh....that name sure takes away the 'years'. ^^; ) (get the joke?)
Aka: (You are not like other humans I've seen)
Runee: (I'm special.
)Aka: (Yes...... Particularly odd in the way that you swallow the grass rather than chew it throughly.)
Runee: (*hack* It's kinda tickling my stomach...)
Aka: (Then chew it.)
Runee: (I'm not sure I can chew my cud.) Ewww....that sounded so wrong. O_o
Aka: (You came along with your friend I see)
Runee: (Hai. Mikaeru Sama. ^_^; He's very fond of cows.) Eating them at least...
Aka: (Hmm....did you know cows were once a proud race?)
Runee: (I've heard about it...yes....)
Aka: (We were very appreciated back in time. Humans were kinder to us...but sadly, things have chaged.)
Runee: (I'm sorry.)
Aka: (You know, we are actually the only animal who know what the meaning of life is.)
Runee: (You mean part of it. The real answer is divided in 10 parts.)
Aka: (No no. We know the true meaning of it.)
Runee: (You do? How odd. Then...what it is?)
Aka: (I can't tell you. You see....we know only seconds before we die.)
Runee: (But...everyone experiences that. Sorta like how you see your life flash before your eyes?)
Aka: (I'm afraid not. Cows have lived such dreadful lives since the day they were born that Kami-Sama has had the mercy of filling us with wisdom. While other races and species die without knowing the reason they lived for, we were granted that knowledge moments before we die, so that we know exactly why all living things live.)
Runee: (But you must have a reason for living right? You know a part of the answer don't you?)
Aka: (Yes...the answer--MOOOOO!!!!)
[Runee falls back scared as Aka-Chan runs past her. A robot thingie is zapping cows and pushing them towards a large dark slaughter house. A lot of cows are running frantically everywhere as a stampede.]
Mikaeru: Runee!! We have to go!!! [pulls her]
Runee: What? No!! She's going to tell me!! WAIT!!
Mikaeru: Its Five o' Clock!! They're going to kill the branded cows!!
Runee: Kill them!? Noo!! [runs off]
Mikaeru: NO!! RUNEE!! [follows her]
Runee: I have to save her!! She's the only one that knows!!
Mikaeru: You cant mess with this Runee!! This is out of our hands! [grabs her and holds her tight]
Runee: [squirms] Let go!! LET ME GO!!
[screaming can be heard inside the shed and sounds of whirring blades cutting through flesh..then....it's quiet.]
Runee: No.... [slumps down and starts crying] we're so horrible....;-;
Mikaeru: *sigh* [sits next to her] this isn't the first time you know...
Runee: I know....but....when you see it for yourself....its just so....horrible. ;-;
Mikaeru: *sigh* Daijoubu?
Runee: Iie.....
[other cows approach Runee and Mikaeru]
Cow1: (We're sorry you had to witness this...)
Cow2: (It's the same thing everyday. It's like some damn routine.)
Runee: (How can you live in this? Aren't you scared to go in?)
Cow3: (It will be better than living out here.)
Cow2: (Yes. That damn 'Mad Cow' disease spreads like lice on monkeys.)
Runee: ^^;;
Mikaeru: [all he hears is Moo-moo-mooo] ^^;; Ah....an Utena flashback.
Cow1: (I over-heard you speaking to the elder cow about the meaning of life. You found her on your own, and she took interest in you. Therefore, we will tell you what we know.)
Runee: (All of you know?)
Cow2: (Why yes! We all must know!)
Cow3: (Or else we wont look forward to our deaths!)
Runee: (I don't understand..)
Cow1: (The elder cow told us about the wonderful knowledge that we acquire after death. We are not afraid to die. We are actually looking forward to obtaining the true reason to why we live.)
Cow2: (That is why all us cows believe that our reason for living is Death . It is only until we die, that we will live happy lives.)
Runee: Their reason to live is to die?
Cow3: (We hope we have helped you. )
Runee: (Oh....very much. Yes. Thank you!)
Stowaways...in the back of a truck...
Mikaeru: Man....we've been part of SOOO many crimes. ^^;;
Runee: ............
Mikaeru: Whats wrong Runee?
Runee: I don't understand. How can you live....to die?
Mikaeru: *sigh* Its pretty understandable to them....
Runee: Yeah...I guess....
Mikaeru: Cheer up Runee. ^_^ You know that they'll be happier in heaven.
Runee: ^_^ Yeah....you're right.

ya know, in Japan, the McDonalds have over 20 kinds of hamburger style sandwiches, they even have rice patties for people on dietsn'shit. I never tried it though, but i hear the uniforms in Japanese McDonalds are even more embarassing than the ones they make you wear here. And stuff, whatever....what TF hell am i blabbing on about, oops the manias creepin back in....back up....nice drawing, it's very different in that it's not as chibiness as a lot of your other stuff. it be cools. w007! though i'm not so keen on the heaven part of the story...there...wait i'll shutap now... and take meds...
