During these times, for me personally, I feel like it’s been harder for me not to feel isolated. Though I do still communicate with my friends online, and do coordinate meetups and hangouts, especially making sure that both parties are comfortable with hosting and visiting.

Before back in grade school through high school, I was the weird kid who drew a lot. But eventually, after finding the art community and the furry community, I have been able to form friendships online and in person. And I have been extremely thankful for the friendships I have kept in touch with during these times as well as forming new ones in those few lucky moments.

Being good friends isn’t just the good times. Sometimes they are people we can be our real and genuine vulnerable self. Even have arguments with as well. Some of my friendships have gotten stronger because of the upsetting and uncomfortable conversations, processing traumas or putting up with each other’s annoyances and communicating through that. A good relationship isn’t good because of the good times, it’s good and long lasting when it goes through trials, difficulties and the weathering of life.
