"Realizing the countless attempts to save Madoka is futile, Homura finally succumbs to despair and gives up. Not wanting to take the painful way out, she instead chose to erase her existence from the timeline. Activating her shield, she walks across the time tunnel as she re-lives the memories of her fellow magical girls and their interaction with her. As she reaches the end of the tunnel, she looks back and sees her friends in a ghostly image, all sad at her departure. Just then, her past and future selves also appears besides her, knowing that one more steps forward and they'll all disappear, and no one will ever remember she has ever existed. With a bittersweet smile Homura mutters a soft apology then disappears.

Little does she know that although gone, her time as a magical girl has greatly impacted the lives of her friends, and their memories of her somehow remained.

History always change, but memories forever remain."
