Description "...
It is very unusual for spirits to contact mortals in their dreams, and it's barely a mistake to attempt a talk with none other than kumere.
At first he is confused by light white blue colour, surrounding him. It seems to have no start and no end. It's not a dream, he considers, before spotting a blue butterfly.
It flies towards him, and he offers his left paw forward, giving the butterfly a place to sit.
As the butterfly lands, the creature understands what he sees; where he is.
- It's been a while since I was summoned in dreams, - he says. The blue being slowly moves its wings as if in agreement.
No words are spoken by the magpie coloured dragon for some time. Their chat is not in words; it never is.
But the silence is broken after a few minutes. It's not even a sentence, one word - "Understood".
As no further details are required, the butterfly leaves the paw. It makes a circle around him before going back and disappearing from the view.
He stands and bows slightly in respect.
- Thank you for the information..."

---

A rather weird intro of my new OC, please, bear with it.
It's none other than kumer, a pure shadow dragon. Unlike Lord Greyscale he understand the majority of feelings and is capable of showing most emotions. It is the reason of why his eyes are not grey or blue, but yellow.

His nickname is still in progress, the unofficial version is Sir Magpie (guess why) Β

He was born when I was playing with colours and forms for a contest, but, upon noticing such a beauty, I gave up and took 'im. Mine.

Real name: Unknown
Other names/nicknames: Sir Magpie
Age: adult
Species: kumere
Abilities: full set of typical kumere abilities
Special details: just as Greyscale can play with his tail end and mane, Magpie tends to play with his wings. Very often he hides them completely, appearing as a wingless drake.

And... well, I wanted more yellow-eyed creatures. Yep, Persona addiction

P.S. Too lazy to shade Β

He looks awesome

Well, his belly is white, back are black, feathered wings in nearly the same color pattern as magpies have so he looks sorta like dragon-magpie

I was looking for white/black birds, and I found a magpie first. As I needed black colour to be main, I've designed him this way Thank you.

Oh I love him XD The colour scheme is just perfect, definitely a new fav character of mine I think his slim anatomy has been drawn really well! Might have to draw this guy soon

Thank you x3
His design is a pure accident, to be honest. I wanted a character with main colour being black, but at the same time with some white additions. It took a while to decide what creature to base him off, and yeah, it was a magpie featheredphotography.com/blog/… , so his original "sketch" design has blue-green hints sta.sh/0148lbxunvxr . I'll probably leave him the way he came out here. My intent was to make him different from Greyscale, despite being the same species; not exactly as yin and yang, but along the lines. I wonder if his slim body is a part of it, or magpie inheritance, or both

What areΒ  kumere abilities?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

RusCSI In reply to CelestialRainicorn [2014-01-28 17:47:19 +0000 UTC]

Shadow manipulation, including:
- transformation into a shadow and back;
- using his shadow to attack/hold/etc other creatures (their shadows, precisely - if his shadow attacks someone's shadow, the shadow owner suffers the same damage in reality);
- summoning shadow creatures for aid;
- knowledge of shadow language, allowing him to communicate with other shadows.

They can be considered eternal as they do not age once they've reached maturity. Also they cannot use any form of magic.

I would give him away or sell even if I didn't happen to create some information about him during the drawing process. Plus, yes, he's handsome. I can never resist handsome things.

Always gotta love dragons with feathers <3

You really caught a 'magpie feeling' with this design UvU I love how everythings black n' white (besides Sir Magpie's eye), and then there's this little butterfly to make some contrast in the colors :3

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

RusCSI In reply to Eyenoom [2014-01-28 15:25:39 +0000 UTC]

Thank you >w< He was a challenge - I wanted him to be opposite to Lord Greyscale, but, at the same time, be interesting in some way. I happened to spot a magpie picture and decided to go after it.
The big black feathers were with a green blue hint, sadly the brightness made it invisible

WHY does that dragon have feathers Β

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

RusCSI In reply to daleksuprem [2014-01-28 15:09:29 +0000 UTC]

Because it can. Artistic freedom. The dragon can have fur, feathers, gills, fins, hooves, etc. It's up to an artist to decide.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

daleksuprem In reply to RusCSI [2014-01-28 15:24:37 +0000 UTC]

yes I get that and it is still a cool piece of art it really is

Β but still why did you pick feathers it just reminds me of eragon the move and that was a terrible movie

but I cant denie that itΒ is cool that you broke for the usualΒ looking dragonΒ Β Β

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

RusCSI In reply to daleksuprem [2014-01-28 15:29:15 +0000 UTC]

I'm not familiar with Eragon franchise at all, I just happen to be fond of feathers. The most recent works have majority of feathered wings, and it has nothing to do with any movie or game or franchise or whatever.
