I saw the movie two weeks ago and I really loved how they made and animated the dragons. They where a lot more animal like then alot of people draw them, The really looked realistic in the movie.Anyway, I loved Toothless ofcourse! A super adorable draggy.
This took me about 10 hours.

I loved your depiction of Toothless here! Especially the texture of his skin and the perspective to the ground. And the fact that he actually looks like a dragon flying happily through the sky. In most pieces I see around here he looks like a happy/depressed dog. I liked the dragons in this movie, they had great texture, but still a little cartoonish. I think I'd like it better if they had a more realistic design, but oh, well...

this is from How to train a Dragon....Toothless is the most cutess dragon there IMHO, however he's the most BADSASS one there. Epic Pic dude, also a fan of the movie

The image is simply majestic; the misty chasms below really glorify the stark obsidian of Toothless' scales. However, if you want to go to the next level, add Hiccup, without his leg of course. If none of you noticed (I'm not trying to sound like a snob), towards the end, when Hiccup is walking out of his home with Toothless, they show a back angle of the two, side by side, the boy without a limb and a dragon missing a fin. They need each other in order to fly, and if you displayed that, it would be simply beautiful.

I do know, but everybody draws him with his theeth out, when he actually mostly has them retracted. That's why I drew him like this.

Very, very nice realistic rendering of Toothless. I think he looks a lot more like he would if he actually existed, as opposed to the more typical "cartoon-ish" appearance that most people (and the movie) gave him.
