Personality
Most of ponies know her as irresponsible and loud pony. Sometimes she can be really irritating because of her abandon, ponies could say that she doesn't get things seriously no matter what. Silver doesn't care about what others think of her unless it's somebody who she really cares about. She would do anything to prove herself to them and becames super stubborn, when somepony tries to talk her out of it. She maybe doesn't look like it, but she would never let down ponies who counts on her.
She loves adventures and danger, also proving others that she was right - but then again, who does not like that. She usually gets the most crazy ideas, but surprisingly, most of them work out just fine.

Story
She was rised mostly by her father as her mother died when she was very young. Her dad used to talk to her a lot about how much Silver reminds him of his love. He took good care of Silver Dust, raising her with love and effort, and they had a beautiful father-daughter relationship. He was a member of Luna's Royal Guards and Silver wanted to go in his hoofsteps, attending trainings with him and eventually getting into the guard herself. That was it, until she left (or better, she got "fired" for her inability to listen to orders and causing more damage than good). Feeling bad for disapointing her father's belief in her, she decided to leave the city entirely.
She then traveled and arrived to Fillydelphia, where she get herself into some troubles (nopony believes a pony who's moving around in the night). One local hotel manager offered her help and place to stay. In exchange, he wanted Silver to work for him. He wasn't stupid and had quite good guess in ponies, he knew from the very beginning that she's going to be hard to control, but he had just the pony for that kind of job. Let's just say, the head of security wasn't super happy about having a newbie without any respect for orders under her command.
