Description
Sara Crewe - from "A Little Princess" by F. H. Burnett. This is the moment in the book when Sara learns that her father is dead and she is left a beggar - and she puts on her old black velvet frock that's too small for her. I always saw that moment very vividly.I couldn't be bothered with the background - I wanted her to stand out, so puting anything at the back that would distract the attention from her wasn't really appealing.
Anyway, all done in Corel Painter 8. Fullview please!

I love it! I always loved the movie when I was a kid.. but I had never seen the book in any bookstore, until recently that I found it, so I'm reading it now, and I'm just loving it! that part of the book was just so sad... the book itself is very sad, I've been crying like an idiot since I started reading it yesterday morning... Love your drawing...
