since the first time i witnessed the awesomeness that is "the last unicorn" lady amalthea has become one of my favorite all time book/animated heroine (sort of)
she's elegant, graceful, beautiful, mysterious and magical. plus she has white skin and hair.
can you spot the secret??? XD

It's beautiful Bex! I really like how the face turned out, the angle is gorgeous! The hatching texture used throughout the image is really good, it brings it together nicely. Is that a horned horse i see??

the closest airport is St. Louis international. it's about 20 min from my house and we do live in base housing but its privitized so technically its "off base" i know it's weird.

Ya know, I went to double-check on the map to see where Scott is... I swore it was in Ill and not Missouri. Then I realized that St. Louis Int'l is like on the border with Illinois, and Scott is damn close too. Are you getting any flooding from the Mississippi right now?

no not at all really- we didn't have any plans that i know of. figured we'd probably just bum around the house lol~ i asked chris and he said we don't have any plans he just wanted to find a place that's hidden so we can light some fireworks and have a few drinks lol~

this is so pretty becky! everything from the colors to the textures and anatomy is so lovely~ i'm especially enamored with the shoulder/collar bone area for some reason hehe~

hahaha it's funny you mention that because its my favorite part too! the collarbone is one of my favorite parts of female anatomy so i spent a little longer on it

Wow. This turned out very well. I love the texture of the brush you used, and the color choice is magnificent. The only thing that bothers me a little bit is her face... her eyes are a little big or something. But other than that, I love this painting!

I've seen the movie (I own it actually) but I have yet to read the book. One day I will, I love reading the books my favorite movies are based off of. Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH is kinda a short book and very different then what they put in the movie.
Ahem, anyways.
