Description
Inspired partly and randomly by artist Ryo Ikuemi.There's a story behind this, but it may evolve into a comic somewhere down the line, so no details at this time.
Anatomy might be a little stiff in some parts, but it's really just an exercise that I liked enough to post here.

Aww, I actually thought this was a Ganbare! Shimura-san piece from the preview. The girl in red made me think of Ryo.
Like others have said, I think the use of color and portrayal of emotion is really well done here. You can just sort of feel the complexity of the situation, even though you're just giving us a glimpse. I think cutting the character's faces off - so you can't see their expressions properly - helps with the intrigue element. I'd be interested to see what sort of story evolved out of it.

The idea I have for this is ridiculously complex; not sure if I could pull it off properly... but that hasn't stopped me before XD;

I really like this. The four-color palette really helps everything stand out, and the hands look great. For whatever reason, this piece looks really emotional to me - or at least it feels emotional. I don't know if you intended that, but the emotion comes through so clear. Bittersweet, pained, but strong. Kinda reminds me of myself as a teenager. ...Kinda reminds me of me now, now that I think about it.
