Description
This is the goddess Inanna, goddess of war and prostitution (Among other things) In one myth she was being scolded by the god Enki for doing that which she shouldn't.
Here I have her dancing upon the field of battle. Often Inanna is celebrated only for her sexuality, but this ignores a whole other side of her.

"Innana, you heap up human heads like piles of dust, you sow heads like seed. Inanna, you destroy what should not be destroyed. You create what should not be created." -Enki

This image was used as the cover of a nonfiction book I published some time ago. The book was rather short but well illustrated, unfortunately the formatting was important for readability and this was completely destroyed by Amazon, so I didn't really promote it.
