The mockingbirds on España are famed for their fearlessness, curiosity and ferocity. Going with Darwin's theory of evolution, their beaks are longer and sharper then the beaks of other mockingbirds on the surrounding islands.

Often they will hop up to scientists and drink out of their water bottles, or steal their lunch. One even decided to peck at the closed water bottle of the naturalist with us.
