I didn't have one of the stump things, so I used a makeup brush... I know thats sort of silly.. but it works
i want to show him in person, because art always does

It looks like you had a few issues with it, and I'm guessing that it's because of the angle on the portrait. I'm not saying it sucks at all, but I'm just noting what I see. On the whole it looks very good but it looks like the mouth and jaw area gave you a lot of problems.
