So... Hi everyone! In spite of what written in my latest entries, a couple of month ago, in the end I didn't post anything else. I've got many drawing to be true, with a bit of patience I'll upload some...In the meanwhile here's my last drawing of 2018. A quick sketch to wish everyone, near and far, a wonderful new year, hoping it'll bring joy to all of you! ^_^
A young Space Pirate Captain Harlock.
I love this character but 'til these last months I never seriously tried to draw him, 'cause Matsumoto's style is quite far from my usual drawings and I was a bit afraid of not being able to represent this wonderful character as he deserves. It's different but I hope you'll enjoy it .

I must say it. Despite the enormous simplicity of this piece, it reaches much to the viewer. We see Captain Harlock with a look that transmits serenity, confidence in himself, melancholy and a dreamy look, of a man who believes that his cause is just. No doubt your drawing shows that it has been done almost effortlessly (in a good way, I clarify), but the affection that you have placed on it is even more remarkable. The hair, in the wind, gives movement to the drawing, besides I like it as you did with just wavy lines, getting a spongy and matted hair. Simple waves lines were enough to give volume to his cape, besides indicating his dark color in the same way. A great job and that, in effect, you have represented the character as he deserves. Excellent work!
