Black, my favourite colour. Ah, I remember my first Necrodeck...

I remember when I played in a sanctioned tournament a guy asked how many lands his ball lighting destroyed.
There were many giggles.

I don't know what duelmasters is. I played in MTG Sanctioned tournies.
I forget what the series was called. I was in a 1.5 tournie.

Duelmasters is how I got into playing magic. It's like Magic lite. You have 5 "shields" that you use as resources and function as your life. Once all your shields are gone and you take a direct hit you lose. It was faster paced game that had some neat art and was an easy transition from Yu-Gi-Oh.

Oh. Never played that.

I started Magic in.....beta a little and then I was into it
by the end of Legends and the start of Fallen Empires.
Fallen Empires is when I started playing in tournies.
Goblin Grenades!

I stopped when they got into the Planeswalkers storylines.

Oh yeah, the god packs, if you've heard of them, were real.
The store I managed had a few boxes of 3rd edition god packs. It was awesome.

You still have to pay manacosts unless an effect specifically states not to. Used to be that they would say: "as if they were in your hand" but takes to much text space to to idiot proofing.

Yeah, I know. But I also know how powerful Yawgmoth's Will is.

Doesn't seem that bad at all, but i feel that it needs work or refinement.

I would lower the first ability to +1 or +2, and have the ultimate be like -5 to -8.

Alternate first abilities could be:
-reveal the top 2 cards, opponent chooses which one gets discarded, the other goes to your hand.
-draw 2, discard 1
-draw 2 cards, loose 2 life.
-target player mills 1 and discards 1.

maybe combine the second and third ability to:
[-X] you mill x cards, all creatures get -x/-x. (Kind of like a black sun zenith that fuels your graveyard and clears the field. But moves you away from your ultimate.)

A cool ultimate would be:
-you get an emblem that lets you play cards from your graveyard.
-you get an emblem that lets you exile cards from your graveyard to make 2/2 zombies
-make an */* zombie that's power and toughness are equal to cards/creatures in graveyards.

Otherwise your current build seems like alot of spinning your thumbs and putting your deck into your graveyard that could be easily countered with the black spell bomb or black m11 layline.

With the necessary adjustments he might be even able to come down to a nice BB2 or BBB1 cost of 4.

On the forums that I created this on says that Yawgmoth's Will is an incredibly powerful ability capable of winning in a single turn.
The other abilities are also throwbacks to Phyrexian cards such as Engineered Plague, Phyrexian Grimoire if a bit modified, and an Entomb for good measure.
