Awww Gabardine looks cute here - and Lace came out very pretty! I like her little ribbon earrings and how her ears protrude from her sun hat. They look so young and not-yet-tormented on the bottom image, and so despondent and haggard on the top image. You can really tell how what happened to Lace ages them both (especially Gabardine because his face is more visible here). Their back story is so tragic. ;n; Great job!!

That's great to hear because all I seem to upload are sketches! Tumblr just makes it easier for me to upload on the frequent basis I draw, and I kind of like to keep my da more about finished work-- which I feel I rarely have time to do (for myself). XD but yeah-- I like sketches a lot too. Something about the looseness and seeing how other artists work.

WOW, first time I see his father, and his mom used to be really pretty...! *.*
And I just realized that you've changed Veil's ears recently, I looked at his parents' ears and thought "hey it's not how HIS ears are..." Then I checked that yes, it IS. I just remembered the old version still, haha. Anyway, it's cool, I like it. ^^
But his father, how tall he is now..? Seems very different on both images. The 1st tall, strong, stable (though a hint of depression or idk...). On the 2nd short, insecure, shy, kinda submissive (which totally makes sense with Lace, uh huh). SO I wonder what is he like? o.o
Either way I really like his design, it's fun to see now how Veil got his feautures! ^^

Thanks so much!!! He's actually shorter than Lace- one of my reservations about the top one was how wrong I got their size relations lmao. Not that there's any written in stone design for them perse. The bottom one is also them younger too, their relationship for the most part starts out w Lace sort of as the one in control but dissolves as she becomes sick. She is tall and waify like Veil and gabardine is stout

Oh I see. It's fun that he is the shorter one.
I'm curious where he is actually is now... I know Lace is a VERY creepy person, I remember her spider-like figure leaning over his son when gemini enters.. So I wonder what happened to daddy... Did he flee, or did he fall victim in some way maybe...?
