Usually I'm drawing so much Zero x Kaname yaoi (my OTP
) that it might be forgotten that I also like the hetero pairings of VK. XD *lol* (Both Kaname x Yuuki and Zero x Yuuki.)
I wanted to give the pic a dreamy romantic softness and fantasy feel (I love period costumes and AU lands with pretty castles etc. 8D), hence their AU clothing and Zero's epic earrings. X3 *imagines it's not part of the uniform, but something especially picked by Yuuki*)
I drew it imagining that it's in some world passed in the farther past rather than modern world (hence the clothing) and in which Yuuki is the princess of the kingdom and Zero is the captain of her close royal guard of knights, and also her lover...
I left the pic all in soft hues except for their eyes, to convey that vibrant feel of the love and lust 8D in their gaze. Hopefully it worked.
I also hoped that the eyes that way would give that feeling of something special and vampiric that comes forward a little from the otherwise-human feel of it.

don't worry i added you in all my vk groups you hjust need to accapt and yea the system changed you go to your gallery you see contribute to the group and you enter it in the group

I think there might be a bug with DA or something, because when I try using the thing in my page, on the right side next to the image, to add any pic to the groups I'm in, it doesn't display the groups, it asks to type the names of every group instead. It's weird.
But oh well, at least it was possible for you to add the pic. ^^

I also really like those kind of AU fics. And there are so few of them too. That's too bad. If I could construct myself a good plotbunny with good plotlines and some free time, I'd jump on the occasion to write one but....

Zero's earring reminds me of CLAMP's style, the way they draw extravagant clothes and accessories (I think I once saw a drawing of Lelouch with a similar earpiece)

If I had time to write so many fic ideas I have, I'd infest the fandom with AU fantasy worlds. ;_;
However, even if I had time, chances are it would be an infestation of Zero x Kaname fantasy worlds. XD *has many she wants to write*

That's because although it looks like I just added pink poofiness, the pic is actually shaded in several different layers of various types of pink, her arm is shaded through the sleeve etc., so that we can see all of those details.
Ah, I've always liked Clamp visual sense of aesthetics also, so there's a chance that it's that sort of similar taste for elaborate earrings that gave birth to the ones Zero wears in that pic, although I wasn't thinking of any particular Clamp pic. ^^
I just happen to like the same type of clothing/aesthetics etc.

Oh I see! I had assumed that the pink was all on the same layer. I guess I tend to assume that since my ipad only allows me to have 6 layers at the same time. So I carefully chose what can be put on a different layer and what doesn't have too much consequences if put on the same one. So I usually do white backgound/background/clothes and accessories/skin/hair and eyes/lineart.
But it's such a bother. Just one big error and you have to start all over. Yesterday I was working on your fanart and I forgot to put a transparent layer on top of my white background so I drew my lineart directly on it. I know it's not as bad because I can switch my other layers to multiply but it's not the way I usually work and it makes me all insecure that something's gonna screw it all. (I usually put my lineart on top of every other layers)
The only good news is that I really like the lineart. ^__^
Yes, CLAMP is very good at designing clothes, weapons, accessories and the like. And about everything else xD They're a good source of inspiration and it matches well with VK's style.

Yeah, believe it or not that picture has something like 40 layers, not counting lineart layers since the lineart was done on paper... 
The iPad seems like lots of fun but having so few layers must be annoying for more elaborate pics. (Not that layers really are needed, we could do it all in one layer just fine, but they sure are convenient and allow to change stuff faster.)

Lelouch = Kaname and Suzaku = Zero. SO MUCH.
Even more so now that they seem totally headed towards the Code Geass' "Zero Requiem" in VK as well, unless Yuuki interferes and slaps some sense into her harem. XD

Oh well I guess it's not too bad for me because I manage to get mixed up with only 6 layers. Already, my fanart has some elements of clothing mixed up with my skin layer -____-;;;; Pfff, and only Zero's done. I'm sure at the end it will be total chaos in my drawing. Imagine with 40 layers
What I would like to be able to use on ipad would be textures. It's so beautiful when well applied. I guess I could try to work on my ipad drawing with PS once I'm done but I still have too much trouble with PS. Too complicated for my lil brain.

Oh it's true! I never noticed the resemblance but they do look alike when you think about it. It gives me ideas for a possible VK Halloween pic. (btw, I used your bat brush for a VK Halloween pic last year. Very convenient! It would have taken me forever to draw so many bats xD )
Each time I rewatch the last episode (that happens to me sometimes) I start bawling like a baby. It's so sad TT_____TT I don't want that to happen to any VK characters (especially the main trio) I liked the story of Geass even though I can't stand mecha (urgh, giant robots fighting? Not so much for me)
If Yuuki could act like Kallen and be all badass to stop those two from acting like murderous morons xD I guess what Kaname will never have is Lelouch insane machiavellian laughters.

It's a bit hard to see in the pic but her eyes are supposed to be half-lidded/not fully open, so they're actually a bit higher than they seem. Hence why her eyebrows seem a bit high. ^^
Although I agree that they seem a bit low.

Haha, I perfectly know how it is, when you try to make someone super-cute, and then because of the ultrabig eyes it gets a little bit deformed (in a bad way). I fell into this mistake so much (- A -)" But all I can suggest is next time when you want to draw like this, never let the eyes close to be where the shape of face goes from | to \...lol, sorry for lame explanation!
