"I used to live in a small clay house added at the back of my parents wast garden. Thanks to my father's years of faithful service and my mother's skill with the cloth we were somewhat wealthy. Enough so that mother decided to have another building added, rather than go through the struggle of finding some place else. It was a little... taxing to live with my parents, but at least there was always company?

Now... Now I live in Torrine. After the unrest broke out I was labeled a sympathizer and shipped off; 'for my own safety.' Hrmph! And this was based on my choice to keep friends from being ripped apart by a frenzied mob. What did it matter who wore the feathers? Was I really to stand back and let the mob trample someone just at the wrong time, at the wrong place? Was I supposed to sit idly by, while home were being burned, and citizens beaten for simply associating with pegasi?! Never. The day we allow the assault of any Talorian citizen, no matter their breed, is the day we have truly lost our way.

To be honest it isn't all bad. Torrine is nice, even if it is a cage. Kalakara and I have a hut of our own, our familiars get along well and... we've decided to marry. Now. To hell with traditions. "

IT IS DONE! And I am freakin' pleased with it XD I always hesitate to speak of 'pride', but dang, I am proud of this illustration
I probably could have rendered some shading and texture a bit more, but I was reaching a point where it felt like I was overworking the piece.
