O SpringO Spring thy perfect purple sprays Seem as of mystery to me, Who sits beneath this ashen tree, And counts the coming of new days. Interstellar This is a film. And this film is one of the most upsetting and emotional films I have ever viewed. But it made me think. It made me think about Time. Not Time as we know it right now, or Time as we have known, or even Time as we may think of it in the future. Because Time, to us, is just an abstract concept. Or is it? Time is truly one of the most precious and perishable things we have to hang on to. Time is only well-spent if we spend it doing meaningful things. Azeem O Shaan Shahenshah!"O great and magnificent emperor!"These words were said of the greatest Mughal emperor, Jalaluddin Muhammad Akbar.And I'm telling you this because I am undertaking a great task: I'm making an art doll based on this King of all Kings. (Shahenshah means king of kings.)Now, I've done most of the work, he is 16 inches tall with a "pai-jama" outfit. The jama (covering) is a coat which in Mughal times was a fashion that Akbar changed from an asymmetrical hem to a rounded hem, and said that Muslim men of the time-period would fasten this wrap-around coat on the right side of their body while Hindu men fastened it on the left. Ex Mei Cordis et Mens...So, I know I haven't been very active on here as of late, but things are getting better. In spite of turning 30 and feeling pretty much like an utter failure for still living with my parents and not yet being married with kids, I feel things may be looking up. Although after the month of December is over, I'll have to work extra extra hard at looking for a decent job. I might look at Rewardingwork.com for another PCA job, or rework my resume for an office job as I recently completed an advanced course for Excel 2010. I might go back and do a course for Microsoft Access, as most office jobs will use this program as a database and it would b...

Holiday dress!

Christmas 2015Hey all you lovely people! :wave:Well, forgot to write a journal yesterday. Sorry about that. This will now be amended. ^^;I got several nice gifts yesterday, including clothes and outfits from my mom, and the two things I wanted from my dad (a tee shirt with the sun and moon on it and an amp for my acoustic- electric guitar). I also received a couple of nice books on doll making and three nice blankets.Using everything is a pleasure; the amp has a nice sound with several effects knobs. The blankets are cozy and warm and go well with my decor. And the books are visually informative. :)I've been working on my Madame de l'Automne (Autumn) do...
