Description Fantine from Les Miserables! I absolutely LOVED this movie. You don't even know how much I loved it. It was BREATHTAKING. The acting, the raw and emotional singing- everything was perfect. I could go on and on, but I'll just say this- Anne Hathaway is my new favorite actress because of her performance in this movie. OUTSTANDING.

expect more fanart.

ugh i just love eponine
the only reason he didn't pick her is cause she wasn't as rich and hot as cosette
what a freaking dumbass
agh
also the descriptions in this book are ridiculously long like instead of 'tree' he'll say 'it was a long almost-cylinderesque form composed of wood, its rough bark gleaming in the mid-afternoon sun. its branches were like long arms reaching for the sky, which was covered in clouds. cumulonimbus clouds.' and it's only cause victor hugo was paid for each word he wrote.
NO
I DON'T WANT TO READ THAT MAN
I JUST WANT TO GET A GOOD GRADE
WE'RE READING THE ABRIDGED VERSION AND IT'S LIKE 700 PAGES LONG

Holy crap that's actually kind of hilarious, if I was getting paid by the word, I'd stretch it too, haha. That does seem like some major overkill, though. And yeah, Eponine is very me, I guess. She's really easy to relate to for a lot of girls these days, I think.
And basically "I JUST WANT TO GET A GOOD GRADE" is all that goes through my mind when I'm at school... especially in algebra.. when the heck are we going to use "xy/tf*75hy=z" or something crazy like that, I mean, I'm not gonna be a mathematician geez

ugh i hated algebra. i hate trig even more. i have the worst math teacher EVER. instead of looking in the general direction of the class, she looks at individual people, and she has really scary eyes, and she sucks at teaching, and she gives lectures out of nowhere about politics and i have like a 48 in that class urg
and hah if i was in hugo's position i probably would, too.

eponine kicks butt. i really love the part where she says "i don't want your money." it was kind of short in the movie, but in the book, she reminds him that he said he'd give her anything if she got cosette's address for him, and it says that he "had nothing in the world but five francs" but then he gives her the five francs and she drops it on the ground and glares at him and says "i don't want your money." and it's just really sad and makes you all conflicted because you want to love eponine because she's in love with marius but she went to get cosette's address cause it would make him happy because she loves him that much, but you also want to love marius, because after his father died, he found out that his dad wasn't as bad as his grandfather made him sound, and then he paid the thenardiers' taxes even though he didn't have a lot of money, and he ran away from his grandfather, and he gave eponine all the money he had.
AGH MY RANT IS SO LONG AND YOU PROBABLY ARE REALLY CONFUSED BECAUSE YOU NEED TO READ THE BOOK but also when eponine dies in the book, she saves marius' life and she has a wounded hand as well as a wounded chest and she's dying and waiting for marius to come but he doesn't come so she drags herself to him, and then he sees her and she lays her head in his lap and says she doesn't suffer anymore, and then she gives him cosette's letter and asks him if he picked up the five francs she dropped on the ground, because she knows he isn't rich, and she tells him she was in love with him, then dies. and he kisses her forehead when she dies and then he takes cosette's letter and covers it with kisses and forgets all about eponine and then you're just really confused like DO I LOVE MARIUS OR DO I HATE MARIUS and also eponine loved him the whole time but while marius and cosette were separated marius went into this deep depression but cosette was only sad for like 3 days and then after that she got over him JUST DAHHHH STUPID COSETTE UGH

oh man, math just generally sucks. And whoaaa lotsa information- this leaves me with very conflicted feelings about Marius and Cosette... and makes me love Eponine even more. and man stupid cosette you can't just get over someone that quickly i mean seriously

Omg this looks amazing!!!!! I just got back from seeing it, and am kinda disappointed. The acting and vocals were beyond excellent. I think the story itself...is just too much story. I can't follow it all AND get deeply connected to the characters.

But this is soooo good sav. Like look at all that texture!

Thank you so much! I saw it Friday night. Les Miserables is a pretty complicated story, so I think they did excellent job of portraying it. It helped that my chorus teacher has made us watch the musical on DVD the past two years, so I knew what was going on. I think that for someone who didn't know the story line before seeing it, it would probably be a lot to try to handle all at once... Had you seen it before? Anyways, I agree, it's a lot to take in, ha!

And thank you again! I had a lot of fun with the texture-y brushes I found

Yeah, I can't imagine trying to wrap all of that up into a school play! That would be hard! Sorry if I came off rude

I loved it too!! Everyone did such a great job!

Beautiful painting of Fantine! The rough style and texture contribute to her dark, terrible circumstances, I think.
