It was strange but comforting the way he'd approach him after a long absence. He wouldn't speak but instead would stand in front of his brother, playful smirk tugging at the corners of his lips before stepping forward and pressing his forehead against his chest, feeling the steady heartbeat through the checkered vest. The redhead would lift a gloved hand and run it through bleached hair calmly as the other pressed up against him and softly nuzzled him just under his chin, hands lightly gripping the black and white fabric.
"You're home..."
It was quiet, almost as if he were trying to convince himself that the ringleader was really there and it wasn't something he was imagining. Joker would chuckle quietly, the blond's smile growing as he felt the familiar warm air ghost over his ear. The gloved hand would move slowly from his hair and would soon rest on the small of Dagger's back, finger's lightly urging him closer as he smiled.
"You'd think you'd learn that I always come back..."
