Would I be correct in the statement that this young fellow is Jack, and he has just climbed a beanstalk? That is what it reminded me of, with the floating castle. It looks as if it was made of air.

I don't know why but it makes me feel a little bit sad, like the person on the ground was looking up rather wistfully at the balloons and his red hood looks like the balloons, and it makes me wonder if he was the owner of one of those balloons which somehow crashed and now he's stuck on the ground and misses his home in the skies. Okay I think I've said too much anyways its a beautifully haunting painting
