Description Inching through the canopy of the tower forests 500 million years in the future, orthoformica is a descendant of the lasius ants that live today. They produce silk through 8 spinnerets, leaving a trail of it as they move through the canopy. Their legs are only stubs now, as they are only used for making silk now. They weave enormous sheet webs through the forests, providing support for the tree's branches and complex ecosystems. For a more detailed description of this ecosystem, look here.
