Description Shot some more RAWs of the corridor I used for Air Holes . But this time earlier in the day so there was no where near as much light and shadows were much darker in the unlit areas.

Model is Lachlan, a friend at college. I think this looks much better with a subject in it, definately not as boring.

*awestruck* Great, great, great photograph. I want a 350D!! Best cam there is (but I have to do what I can with a Canon A700 for now). Really good shadows and great contrast. (I love how the end of the corridor is completely dark, so you don't really know whether it ends there or goes on.) Make the best of that building, it has a fantastic atmosphere. Congrats, you take awesome pics.

Thanks alot!

Yeah it's a spiffy camera. It's definately been the best one out there to work with at my level. Eventually my skill will want me to get a bigger one (maybe a 5D). But for the past year or so and for at least another year to come, having it has improved my photography a lot.

Get one on finance like I did

Can't. stop. looking.

It's really fascinating, his pose looks so obscure, so frozen in time, and the Β«backgroundΒ» is great... It's a great image.

i love this...the title goes very well w/ the shot. i think it could be improved a bit though...i think that if he's got something to hold onto up there (i'm assuming he does), you could have him just hang there, and if you could somehow just silhouette him...i think it would work much better w/ the surroundings, because personally, i think the area is quite creepy. so i think it would be great to capitalize on that. anyway, that being said, i still love the shot. the perspective w/ the lines is great...everywhere, there's lines - the floor, the walls, the ceiling. those ones on the ceiling are great too, because of the light coming through. the light of the whole shot is really great, very creepy. and i like the various things that bring grungyness to the shot, like the stuff on the ground and the graffitti on the wall. i also like how at the end of this tunnel there's blackness. a great area...you could definitely have fun experimenting to get lots of creepy shots! great job here though.

yeah I've taken a lot of different photos in this area. i'm using it again as an idea for my college folio too, but it's going to require a lot of effort with equipment lol

when i do things like that i feel like my torso is going to split and my stomach will tumble out ontop of my lower half.

unless you have leperasy, or shoes that weight at least 800kg, i doubt that will happen hehe. you probably have a short diaphragm like me. when i hang like that or lie on my back, it stretches and feels like it's going to break - doesn't hurt, just real uncomfortable. but it's like a tendon and can be stretched probably a good foot extra before it snaps.

but i guess a guy slumped up at the end with a saw in his hand and an amputated leg in the foreground would be pretty freakin cool lol

Lol. It IS. My ex bought me Saw II...
I like Saw I more, I loved how it was just dialogue between two guys.
Plus I couldn't watch alot of Saw II because of the whole chick-putting-her-hand-through-glass-and-cutting-off-her-hands thing. Bluh!

hahaha yeah.. not when the drop is that high!!! thing is u would have less of a figure activating the space with just the torso and the head anyway?? did u picture him swinging like that? lol would make a crazy photo. try it next time mayb. but with alot of safety nets ofcourse

yeah it's an old part of my college that hasn't been used in many years. lots of overgrown trees and leaves literally cover the entire walkway, lots of busted stuff and graffiti... very cool, very interesting it reminds me of the abandoned compound from the second Jurassic Park lol
