Something I've been wanting to do for a while! Because I'm a massive nerd. It's rather long.Please keep in mind that this is just my own method/reasoning based on my own observations/assumptions - but I hope you enjoy reading this anyway.
Also, I must thank ~peony for allowing me to borrow one of her fan trolls at the last minute to spin out a random God Tier for as an example.
Oh, and if you're curious, Hussie's FS answers about God Tiers can be found here and here . There's probably stuff from his old FS too, but I never got to read it. :C These pages at the fan wiki are also helpful sometimes.
(Now just watch Hussie tear all this to shreds at some point with an update.)
Edit: Actually, on closer inspection, I seem to have mixed up the mid/dark shades for the colour schemes: hoods are actually darker than pants. THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU STOP DOING SOMETHING FOR A LONG TIME anyway so that part is fixed now.
Edit II: As you may have noticed, this guide is somewhat outdated as it was made a year ago and numerous other God Tiers have been revealed in canon since then and providing us with more details. This may be updated in the future, but in the meantime, you can (politely, please) comment with your own observations for future readers to see.

I don't mean to be nit-picky, but how was Vriska reading Mindfang's journal without glasses? I think that GT heals everything, but the characters just never thought to try without glasses ('cept for Vris).

No, they become their Dream Selves. Terezi's dream self is still blind, so Terezi would still be blind if she went God Tier on a quest bed. It only fixes what your Dreams Self fixes.

actuallt I've read in the trivia section of the god tier page on mspaint wiki [[link] that troll shoes are actually affiliated with the trolls dream selves shoe color . If you just take a close look of Vriskas boots and the boots here :[link] . I think the same the same also applies to aradia.

Now that we've seen more God Tiered trolls, it does seem like a safe bet, although judging from the sprites available on at least Aradia and Gamzee's wiki page, the shade of the colours aren't exact, so there's still that.

I'm pretty sure this has been answered, but regarding the shoes; since the God Tiers are all their dreamer bodies, they have the shoes of their dreamers. That seems pretty much arbitrary, but Hussie appears to use color theory to match shoe color to Heroic title. Yellow contrasts blue (John), red compliments orange (Vriska), baby blue contrasts orange (rose). Just my two cents!

Considering Homestuck is conveyed through a visual medium, I think it's safe to say colour theory is applied to a lot of things, not just to the design of the god tiers. (Hussie's use of colour is one of my favourite things about the comic.) As for the shoe colours being based on the players' dreamselves, I actually disagree with this since none of the kids' shoe colours while god tier are the same as their dreamselves. But thank you!

This is really helpful! A lot of these things I was already thinking might have been the case, but this really helps clear up some other stuff. I'm just curious though, with the newest updates of three new god tiers and two more god tier symbols, are you going to be doing any changes to this? It would be fine if you didn't, and if you did there wouldn't be a huge amount to change. It would be cool though to see what other reasonings you have behind some of the newer designs :>

the pattern between shoes are that they are the same shoes as there dream self's shoes but with different color soles. the exception was for john because his shoes were blue so they inverted (from yellow soled and blue shoe to blue soled yellow shoe) So for example tavros would have brown shoes and blue soles.
