ok gotta say, the prespective here really takes the cake! and hiding one eye was a great idea on your part, it flows well with the theme of the series and the intentions of yagami.

The improvement cannot be denied and it's so nice to see how far you have come only with dedication and hard work. Most people always complain that they can't get better and then they have thousand of excuses why they can't do this or that. But you worked hard on yourself and your skills and it is really impressive how much better you have gotten. There a similarities in both works considering that you used cell-shading but other than that they have completely different atmospheres.
Your new version does Light justice. I really like the dark atmosphere because it adds some dramatic flair to the picture, especially with the light coming from the left and only letting us see half of his facial expression. Again, his eye(s) are glowing slightly red, which reminds me a lot of a wild beast that cannot be taimed and has lost all sense. His vicious smile and the way his hair hides his other eye makes him look really dangerous and gives us the feeling that we really have encountered a murderer. Moreover it's cool that you have added a background to this. β₯

well the coloring takes about 1h and half to 2 hours ,Β
and the drawing on the paper takes me 10mns
and lineart re-amking about 20mns

I guess it's probably of the details I add in and my coloring style. I also take like an hour to sketch something until I'm satisfied with it. I use a lot of references when I draw so it takes me more time to incorporate them all in one drawing and not make it look weird

Hmm, I don't really have an accurate definition for it, but the way I understand it, it's when an artists heavily relies on one reference/drawing that the end result becomes a recognizable copy of the art used for reference (lol am i making sense?)

You did change the size of the drawing, added ur own background and change the colors so, so not really? You only copied the pose after all
The reference isn't that famous in my opinion, so not many people would notice I guess

i tend to use my references from KnB because they consist all the poses i want , doesn't matter if it's famous or not
but i don't rely on references that much because my hand got used to it now.
