Cobalt ran his fingertips against the cave wall, feeling the tremors. The vibrations made the fur on his knuckles stand on end. He adjusted his stock and tried to breathe.

"I'm not an ignorant savage."

Ren rolled his eyes. "No, perhaps not. The fact of the matter is that you had no idea how to fasten your trousers this morning and hid in an adjoining room when you saw a pocketwatch. I see no reason why I shouldn't call you Tarzan."

"Look, can we stop the mockery and start the walking faster?"

"I'm very serious about your not talking to polite company."

"REN."

Part of the Untold Story Thing where Ren figures a few Things out and decides it's better to take Cobalt underground, lest the Unicorns get their hands on him. Unicorns isn't nice, precious...

I have all these manga ideas, but I quit after a few pages from frustration. I can't get better if I don't do it, so I'd better settle on something and plow through the sucky so I can get to the less-sucky. (Or maybe more sucky, depending on what part of the story we're at.)

Cobalt's 6'4", Ren 4'11". I know there are structural issues. It was 4 AM. T_T
