Description
The wings are 2 ft tall and 4 feet long together. it's two separate pieces with a wooden frame, but the wood is thing enough so it's sturdy, but doesn't have that much weight to it (it's like 5 pounds). The base is poster board duct taped on and the wood frame is hot glued together. How I got them to connect was by duct tape. Duct tape everywhere. And the straps are elastic that was drowned in hot glued and duct taped to hold it there. Also, there is one strap on each wing, so it's evenly on my back. Currently, It has a orange coating on it so that the feathers don't move and show white/silver. I also have the sunglasses and bandages ready. I just need everything else (Feathers are on their way in the mail)Related content

What I plan on doing is making two slits on the back of my shirt, and putting the straps through the slits and putting them on under my clothing. the straps are loose enough/on sturdy enough to actually be able to do that ^^

i REALLY want to Homestuck cosplay.... like, REALLY bad, but my mom won't but me costumes... and my last (and first) one, Link from LoZ, looked like crap. but hey! it was my first time!

Oh no D: depending on who you want to do, you can actually get a lot of the shirts/pants/ maybe shoes at thrift stores like Salvation Army and Good Will! it saves a WHOLE bunch of money. My mom is pretty happy sending me and my sister off to get our cosplay stuff at Good Will. Oh from which game? I tried to make his Twilight Princess tunic, and it only looked half good. I'm sure you'll be able to make it soon enough!

i did Skyward Sword, and my Grandmother customized the shirt a little and made the hat. I bought a cheep plastic sword that i think is now broken from hitting my sister over the head with it, and i bought the brown pants and brown boots. it took FOREVER to find the boots! i was REALLY picky... i didn't make the shield 'cuz i was too lazy to make it out of cardboard, and i wanted my dad to make it out of wood. i even got fake pointy ears, but i took them off 'cuz they kept falling off. that was my Halloween costume, but i consider it a cosplay outfit. i'll post a picture of me in the outfit some time soonish

Yep! I just posted Zillyhoo up xD It looks pretty good. My dad was looking on youtube for tutorials on the hammer and he sat through 7 minutes of the Zillyhoo song on repeat xD I LOVE the Midnight Crew song! There's a youtube video of one of the members playing it on his violin! It was amazing cuz he got everyone around him to start singing it!

Well, there's really no such thing as an actual Homestuck Convention, but, any other comic/anime con/expo holds hundreds to thousands of Homestuck cosplayers a day, so what Happens is that they have meet up so it's a huge group of people dressed up as the HS characters. In the video, they were probably having a small meet up ^^

*shrugs* idk, i think the next con in general is otakon. it depends on where you are that's the closest con to you and homestuck is at EVERY con guaranteed. Unless you go to somewhere like a Renaissance Fair (i was literally just there today, and I saw someone walk around with a Vriska shirt and i was dressed up as Hetalia 0-0 )Β

Oh im in NY ^^ I have no idea where Otakon is either, but its really popular. next con im personally going to is NY Comic Con in October. Hopefully will go as HS all weekend, if not, God Tier John WILL be there! I'm totally wearing him!

black t-shirts, a green trench coat, shoes(maybe), jeans(maybe), red lensed sun glasses, felt, fabric paint, normal paint, oven bake clay, um... i think that's it... oh ya! blue fingerless gloves! can't forget about those!

ok, just to let you know, some of those things might be hard to find. the shirts, jeans, felt and paint should be easy. the clay might be hard and the trench coat might be a challenge, but the glasses and gloves will be killer to find. best bet: find blue gloves and cut off the tops and for the glasses, get clear glasses and paint the colors on them with transparent paint. yes, that does exist, my friend used it for her Sollux glasses ^^

well, i saw red lensed glasses in a gift shop at Kennywood once, and i used to own pink sunglasses, and my friend has a trench coat, and i could ask her where she got hers at, and i could make Nepeta's hat (i made a black hat w/ my grandmother)

oh ok, if you saw it then, that's pretty good ^^ It's pretty hard finding stuff here D: Thankfully I can find it on the internet though lol. aw that's nice that you two made a hat! My grandma used to sew, but her arthritis got to her, so now she can only give me tips on how to sew certain things. She even gave me this huge book on sewing! It was for my Aunt when I was her age at the time because she got really into sewing (Now sewing is her profession) but my aunt never really bothered to look through it, so i got it decades after and i basically know where everything in that book is! What's awesome too is that my grandma likes the whole cosplay thing and understands it (as well as anime, manga, internet stuff and homestuck), so if she ever sees a person in cosplay, her first thought would be cosplay and not that the person is being a "hippity-hoppity freak" xDΒ

oh really? My parents are pretty chill about me and my sis cosplaying. it actually makes them think they did parenting right cuz we dont do drugs/need therapists like some of my other friends :\ My mom sometimes has thrown things at me thinking I could use them for a cosplay and my dad LOVES to make wooden weapons, especially swords. I have a good dozen of wooden swords (mixedinwithrealoneswhat) all over my house. Sometimes he just makes a weapon for the fun of it. My mom doesn't like big crowds, so my dad brings me to cons and he likes it when my group just walks off so he can sit and see if theres any other weapon he wants to make. he's done that so many times it's not even funny. One day I get Ichigo Kurosaki's Zangetsu Sword all because he thought it was cool and I'm like "welp, at least I have both his swords now"

omg! u r sooo lucky! i wish my parents were more like that! and u have REAL swords at home?! AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!! my dad builds robots that he sells to the government to help in the army. it's pretty cool. the only swords i have are plastic lightsabers, a foam one, and a plastic one that i used for my Link costume

Yeah. i guess the cosplay is considered normal cuz we do alot of different hobbies (painting, wood work, sewing, ect.). yeah, i got my own somewhere in my room, and the others were given by a friend ^^ all the other swords are wood (3 might be umbrellas) we're not a gun family lol we're a sword family. that is pretty cool! you can figure out how to use those metal parts to make something for a cosplay in the future! like if you did vriskas arm, just take some scraps and maybe your dad could help you with it! plastic swords are better than no swords, but the real question is, are they worse than Dave and Bro's crappy swords? (lol xD)
