Hmm. Guess this means you already know about the romance mod!
Ugh! I love these mini-comics you do, they make smile!

^_^ Damn straight. The romance mod is actually what introduced me to Xan--I had BGII before BGI. Because BGI was harder to find. ...And that's why I got BGI, XD. Because of Xan. ^_^ I love mah baldur's gate games... <3

You know, I bought BGI recently. Xan was my main reason.

There is a mod that converts BGI to the BGII engine and makes Xan romanceable, but unfortunately it doesnt work on my computer, so I'm just stuck with BGI the original.

In fact it screwed up both BGI and BGII and I had ro wipe them off my system, reinstall and restart games on both. That happened a while ago tho. And I had backup saves for BGI. And my old BGII saves suddenly reappeared out of thin air about a week ago. So its all good.

My mom probably wont let me try again. That, and I lost all my save files on BGII. So this time I'm going to finish my BGII game before I try anything.
And yeah. I really want to try BGI NPC, because I want to play through the first half of the Xan romance-- The BGII half is really good.

I really hope you'll succeed on your next try. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me. I've helped people install it before. I am told my explanations are really good. ^_^
And I am sure you will not be disappointed by the first part of the romance. Kulyok, the person who wrote the Xan mod for BG 2 also wrote the Xan part in BG 1 NPC. And BG 1 is that much more enjoyable with actual companion banter. I myself had played Baldur's Gate 2 first, before ever getting my hands on Baldur's Gate 1. When I finally got BG1, I tried playing it without mods, but quickly missed the banter I knew from BG2. So these days I can't play BG1 without the NPC project.
Oh, and I too had to get used to the new voice actor. But there's nothing that could be done about that, as I doubt we can just contact the real voice actor (who, as I've found out, also voiced Petri in "A Land before time" and Johnny Bravo in the show of that same name. I don't know that show, but I got some giggles imagining Xan acting like Johnny Bravo. [If you want to see what that's like, search on YouTube for "Johnny Bravo Amazon Woman". He's voicing that episode. Johnny is the big blonde guy, you can't miss him. ^_^ ]) and ask him to voice a mod. Though it's still nice to dream we could...

Yeah, I know all this XD. I've done my research, and you don't have to tell me about Jeff Bennett's other roles, I know who he's played (in the Land Before Time II, he plays Ozzy, using a voice that is very similar to the one he used for Xan). I've also looked up stuff on the BGI Xan romance. I was pleased to find out that it has 'Walk Home' as the background music just like the BGII one. Beautiful piece of music, originally created for a beautiful movie, and now a part of a beautiful mod. who could ask for more (This is actually the music my alarm clock plays every morning to wake me up)

no but you can search for a high elven translator. Actually search for 'quenya' , it's the more commonly used term for high elven.

I know! Isn't it so cute, especially how he gets all awkward when he realizes the main character overhears him! He really does get all awkward and embarrassed in the game...so. frickin. CUTE. Gah!

Of course, for all I know, Xan either said: "I love you" or "Nice butt".
It doesn't really matter, but it's funny to think it's along the lines of the second. Even if that's not your style.

Kinda my point there.
Though since he didn't know if she knew Elvish or not, I don't suppose he would have said that, now would he?

^^ And that's why I always draw elves with even bigger pointier ears than they should have--that way, I can make 'em change with their moods.
