We ventured into the production of our own personal interpretation for 【The Seven Deadly Sins】.
The fifth illustration concerns: 『Invidia 』Latin name for Envy.
Symbolism:

  SNAKE SKULL: In the classical iconography, the Snake is represented with this vice. This is because in the negative view, the snake simply indicates pitfalls, deceptions or envy. Its flexibility allows the most unexpected attitudes. Here is also in the skull version to remind the Vanitas.

YELLOW ROSE (Flower): In the language of flowers the yellow rose is often associated with infidelity, shame, envious, resentful and jealous.
