I used to do a lot more 'drifting pencil' pieces while
watching (bad) television. It's fun. Sometimes, Photoshop
can bring even more life to noodling. This piece clearly
does not need Photoshop!

Thank you, most of the time I have something useless playing in the background... And yes, Photoshop does add that special something especially to graphite drawings, more contrast but this one had its own strong contrast.. Though sadly the photo of it is very blurry, didn't want glossy parts from flash, but in the close up it looked interesting [link] =]

The repro of energy lines seems fine.
A really good scan or photo. I generally take
my paintings out in the sun (with my 6.1MP Nikon
SLR...)then in outside
shadow, then I let the (setting) sun hit from
the side, bringing out the texture of the w/c
paper. Then into iPhoto and I choose from there,
before a final color correction in PSCS5.
Flash would scare me a bit, as it's always
rather out of control for me.

It's quite a big piece so a scan wouldn't work.. And yes, I also prefer the natural sun light which is a little harder to find now since I moved to Canada.. I'll try to get a better photo though =]

I envy your move to Canada. Many US citizens
are really fed up here...and struggling. I love
Canada, but have only known Thunder Bay, Montreal
and Quebec City (which was amazing). I could live
in that city! Enjoy...
