Gracias por tus comentarios. Esta foto no tiene nada de "National Geographic". Tiene mas de "mientale la madre mas de uno". Refleja tristemente (aunque de manera muy bella) la realidad de Mexicalpan de las tunas.

not so sure I like the fade to black effect, but I can see where you're going with it. to me, an empty street would fite better for negative space than the black (to me, the black is distracting, but that's me).
sucks that the world is the way it it sometimes. can't say it's come to this, cause it's been like this sense time imemorable (sp).

I think I've seen this lady before. Not necessarily this very woman, but several like her. They are all over the streets of large Indian cities, wondering when they will be swept off the streets and cast into a cell for vagrancy, while all they want is shelter from the night and food to stay alive.

Tristemente dolorosa... me gusta la imagen aunque siento que ese "difuminado" negro no encaja del todo, pero no importa, la idea hace qe valga la pena... es nuestra realidad... nuestra tristeza... nuestra preocupaciΓ³n...

Simply amazing!! I like the journalistic approach to this, and its poignancy...it touches my heart. People can be so cold, heartless at times, not noticing others' plight or beauty within the destitute. I think they ignore the unfortunate ones, because they can't stand the thought of looking at someone in that circumstance, not necessarily because they don't care, they feel guilty, or fearful that it could happen to them. It's no excuse though.
I love the tones, the softness and warmth/beauty that you give her in the cold, hard world that passes her by, wonderful work, and a fav.

The description's great, and I also like the use of empty space, how it directs your attention to the woman, who most people probably would just walk right past.

Wow, what a pic and description...reminds me of that phill collins song...something about 'he starts to whistle as he crosses the street...he pretends he can't see her...' etc...beautiful capture of real life for some...reminder that we don't always have a choice...we don't alway have control...
fucking deep picture, santor...I love it!

Just as the poet said: "We can be alone, in solitude full of people".
Very moving, as it show us a reality we seldom see... even when it's there.
