The coin has a circular phylogenetic tree in the front, with various species represented underneath.
They are : Halobacteria, cyanobacteria, positive gram bacteria, cordyceps, fly agaric, green algae, fern, radiolarians, daisy, moon jellyfish,earthworm, brittle star, flatworm, comet moth, snail, raven and cloud leopard.
The back has Darwin's quote and the 14 Darwin's finches from the Galapagos.
The quote says :
"From so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been, and are being, evolved."

Well, darn. Just a few days ago, I followed the link to your etsy store, and decided to order at least a couple of these coins after getting paid. I just went to order them now, and they're all sold out.
I look forward to ordering when the restock occurs. (1-2 months? Oh, so not soon enough, but better that than never!)

By the way, someone else in the comments mentioned something about all the phylogenetic lines sprouting from a single point... obviously, everything had a single starting point at some distant time in the past. Regarding that single point as it appears on your coin, I personally have an additional interpretation (probably not intended by you; I'm just reading into things a bit symbolically): it could symbolize Earth itself, with all life (all that we currently know, at any rate) residing there after having sprung from there.
I am usually better at communicating my thoughts, so I hope that this isn't confusing. And for the record, I'm not tying this in with the Gaia hypothesis; it's just an interpretation of the symbols as they appear here. If beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I suppose that meaning might be, as well...

UPDATE: I ordered two of the black Tree of Life coins at the end of November, and they finally arrived! (You had mailed them out almost instantly, but they took time to get through US Customs and were delayed in the US mail--as most everything is nowadays--due to the holiday and, I suspect, the various budget cuts being made to the US Postal Service.
Anyway, the coins are BEAUTIFUL! If you re-release the other colors, I may order them as well, but I'm happy to have the ones I got. (Also, I appreciated the hand-written 'thank you' that you sent along!

That's right, it's something similar. I had a programmer generate one for me for this coin.
I am not sure they are suitable as pendants as they're quite heavy. I might consider keyrings in the future,Β though.

Other than that - the coin itself is very well designed. Love how evolution is portrayed by a single dot branching into everywhere. Great concept and it looks better than the classic "tree" you see in textbooks.
