**Update: Just added a little sheen to him, since farfax mentioned it. Tell me which is better, eh?Chase, his sheet for the Vale and here.Not sure what I did wrong with this one, been toying with images of him for a bit now, and I think he is just one of those subjects who one can't really draw to their liking.0.o Like, I get the linework done... Then the rest of it looks like crap, or at least, to me. So, please forgive my terrible leg job, and face job, I used his mane and tassel mainly to cover my ass, so just bear with me.*sheepish shrug*

Oooo, he's a very solid boy, isn't he? You nailed the shape of the face at that angle! The only thing I see somewhat off is the front left leg. The front of his knee is missing, there's no evidence of the joint there. He looks like he's slowly rolling the weight off of his left front leg onto his right, maybe the next time you draw a pose like this, flex the joint a bit instead of drawing him straight-legged?
That's the only thing I see. Everything else is superb, and I can say that most of my female unicorns - even the married ones - are eyeballing him appreciatively. *G* Nice job on the shading and proportion, and he's got very attractive coloring. I like the mismatched socks.

Wow, I guess I did mess up his leg, like,really messed it up! Thank you for telling me, I mist have overlooked it while sketching, but I won't forget again! 
Lol, well, if your mares are eyeballing him as much as you say they are, I think its safe to say he is doing much the same. Shame Asa isn't here to put him in his place.XD

I like it, yet I'm not sure, I noticed that it took away from how rich his coat colour was, but couldn't very well make the highlights oranger without making him look like a retard... I am still bugged about it though, something overall on him seems off to me...

I love your way with colours, how they all tend to merge and flow together =3
I think perhaps you could afford to go over the coat and give it a little more sheen? Unless you intended to make it this way, which works also =]

I was thinking about that, but I am so nervous about doing that kinda stuff and messing it up that I think I might tone down sheens a bit. Like, the way I see it, these guys are wild horses basically, known for being the dirtiest buggers ever, so they wouldn't have a real glossy coat, because they'd have no way to keep them that clean... But I will go back to the drawing board, see what I can do sheen wise!

Yeah, the more I look at him, the more I think he doesn't need it. I suppose the style you have used for this guy doesn't really require a heck of a lot of refinement, am I right?
