Description This is Shredtail, the warrior cat I claimed. He is currently dead and living in The Place Of No Stars with Tigerstar and all the other baddies. I think he doesn't get enough praise, so I claimed him and drew him. Also, crappy background is crappy!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He also deserves a backstory:
Shredtail was born into an ancient ShadowClan generation. His mother's name was Morningdove, and his father was the leader of ShadowClan at the time; his name was Shrewstar. Morningdove was a very gentle she-cat with a soft amber pelt and green eyes. She caught the eye of every tom in ShadowClan from the moment she was born, but she only truly loved Shrewstar. Shrewstar was a scarred brown tabby tom with striking green eyes and a very charasmatic personality. At gatherings, Shrewstar would make comments about the other clans and even himself, and for this reason, the other clans respected him. On the day that Shredtail was born in a litter of one, the medicine cat, Finchspot, was given a dream from his mentor before him, Freewind. Freewind delivered this to him:
Finch and dove are always prey,
though shrews with shredded tails are shunned away.
After dreaming this, Finchspot awoke in a cold sweat and imediately ran to tell Shrewstar about his vision. Shrewstar never heard him, because at that moment ThunderClan attacked the ShadowClan camp. The ShadowClan leader belted out a yowl and half of the warriors in ShadowClan went to guard their leader's son. ShadowClan was weakening, you see, and they had been robbed of their medical supplies, prey, and even kits. Shrewstar grimaced and lept to face a striking orange tabby she-cat. "Flarestar! How dare you attack my clan on the eve of the gathering!" The ginger tom smirked and lept back, watching as Shrewstar was engulfed by three ThunderClan warriors and five apprentices. He never had a chance. Shrewstar lost his eighth life and lost conciousness. His deputy, Fawnfoot, yowled as ThunderClan warriors were raiding the medicine cat's den and hissing at the ShadowClan cats guarding the nursery. "Shrewstar has lost a life," Fawnfoot howled, "and this battle is over." Flarestar spun around, looking dumb-founded before Fawnfoot lept at him and clawed at his muzzle, and Flarestar mewed a victory cry for his clan. All the ThunderClan warriors flooded out with the scent of ShadowClan blood on their hides.
"Finchspot! Shrewstar has been terribly injured and most of our warriors are dying whe-" Fawnfoot never finished her sentence, for Finchspot was not able to help. His spotted black body lay crumbled inside his den, blood pooling out of a wound on his shoulder. Alarmed and shocked, Fawnfoot went to check the nursery where her sister was raising Shredtail. At first, nothing looked wrong with Morningdove. She was slouched over a rock with her chest rising and falling. Fawnfoot parted her jaws to speak, but closed them and supressed a scream. The rock was not a rock at all, and Shredkit padded out from under Morningdove's lifeless body sadly.
Fawnfoot became Fawnstar soon, and raised Shredkit like her own. A witty black tom with yellow eyes named Windflash took the position of deputy while a young she-cat was chosen by StarClan to become a medicine cat. Fawnstar appointed Shredkit to become her apprentice, but her heart had changed. Shrewstar had passed away after violent coughing drained away his strength and her sister was murdered. Fawnstar began teaching Shredpaw how to hunt and fight with moves no honorable cat would ever attempt on the battle field. Finally Shredpaw became a bulky apprentice and was given his warrior name, Shredtail. Shredtail was a good warrior, even when the deputy, Windflash, dissappeared one night. Soon more cats started to disappear, and the elders gossiped that StarClan might be mad at them for some reason. Shredtail was humble about the matter, and Fawnstar had no choice to make him deputy. Fawnstar disappeared the next evening. They found her body in a mess of brambles by the river along with signs of a struggle and a trail of blood that didn't smell like hers. Upon following that trail, ShadowClan was horrified to find Shredtail with dozens of scars riddling his body and a look of pure joy on his face. He never moved again.
