Hmm, fantastic improvement!
Really love that staff and also the armor and cloth.
Only thing I have to criticize is that he doesn't really seem to float - I feel that can be changed, if you enlarge the area below him or maybe give some kind of indication that he is somehow connected with the background (through a shadow or similar) - but that being said, it's only my opinion and obviously only nit picking, since the whole piece is really fantastic.

You are so right! I should have made the indication that
he was floating. I'll try to put a shadow in there. It's just
that I think the illuminated gas from the bottom blocks
any form of shadow. Not sure if that makes any sense, but
I'll see what I can do! Thank you for the helpful critique.

Yes, I see the problem with the illuminated gas - maybe there is a better solution then adding a shadow? I guess another solution might be some little stones / dirt falling from his boots, but depending on how the ground looks this would be quite illogical as well. I feel like this might be a composition problem, since with what is shown in the artwork it is difficult for the viewer to figuring out what is going on in the background (opening up some space below and giving some indication of a ground might be a solution).

I'll say it again, you are very correct; it's very much a
compositional problem, as well I felt. I don't know why
I just left it alone after trying to fix it and failing. -_-
I could still make the shadow idea work, it's just I
haven't revisited the piece yet. I'll make sure to.
I might get into creating better environments
this year, so I'll try to come up with more obvious
and inspired elements. Thank you so much.

I love the equipment hes wearing, it a pretty otherwordly-looking design. I Expesially like his chest armor and all the little things in his horns. ALso the little bit of red you got coming from the left side is a really damn nice touch
