Tom was messing around with the blue piece of cloth he had managed to find, what surprised him the most is the colour matched his lava. But he brushed it off as nothing. Matt was sitting not to far from him, looking at himself in a little hand mirror. Whenever he complemented himself Tom just rolled his eye sockets and continued what he was doing.
Finally, he was done. He slipped the blue fabric over his head and smiled lightly, perfect fit. He had managed to make a small hood, which is kind of difficult if you have hooves and not hands.

A thought passed his mind, Edd had run off somewhere after he got that green cloth from that tree and hasn't came back. Ugh, what has he gotten himself into this time... Tom got to his feet, turning his pitch black sockets to 'look' at Matt. "I'm going to look for Edd, you coming?" Tom said in a tired tone, catching the pale Lavaling's attention. He too stood up, the mirror somehow vanishing into thin air. He would... never understand how that worked... But then again he did that with his harpoons quite often to, so nothing special. Matt gave him that innocent smile, bouncing up and standing beside him. "Lets go then!" He said cheerfully.
Tom took a slight step away from the energetic Lavaling, cheeks slightly heating up. He brushed it off and grumbled something under his breath, before continuing forward with a very confused Matt.

They crawled though the overgrowth where Edd had mysteriously ran off into, heck why did he even go here again? After awhile of Matt lightly squealing 'not the face!' whenever something was about to hit his 'precious face', they reached a rather large clearing. Tom's dark sockets scanned the area with slight annoyance, but he froze up. His sockets widened and sweat started to form on his scalp. He found Edd... But he wasn't alone. What was that creature?? Matt peaked forward, spotting Edd and smiling. Tom rushed up, stopping a few feet away from his friend. Matt followed suit, but stayed behind the brown Lavaling. He finally noticed the strange feline-like creature, cowering behind Tom. The weird feline had noticed them, closing their hand and putting out the small fire that was once there.

Matt started crying about how the creature was going to 'eat them' and 'he was too pretty to die'. Tom would have groaned if it wasn't the fact that he had no idea what it could to. Edd finally noticed his new friend looking at something, turning his head to face what was so interesting. He let out a small gasp. "Tom?" Edd said, confused at the somewhat stressed body posture and expression was for. Tom said in a low tone, not taking its eyes off of the strange creature.

"Edd..."

"Get back over here, i don't trust this... thing."

Edd lifted an eyebrow, clearly slightly annoyed. "Since when did you care??" Tom cringed lightly, not even noticing he had sprouted some fancy head floof. "Edd." He said in a more stern voice, forming a harpoon out of thin air. This caught Edd and Matt off guard. Was he over reacting? Maybe, but then wouldn't you be scared to? Seeing one of your best friends so close to something you had never seen before in your life? You wouldn't know what it was capable of, if it was trying to manipulate them into something. Tom hadn't been there or heard them two talking to each other either, so he had no clue what was going on.

"Get over here, now."
