Don't see you do too many indoor shots, but must I say, your studio work is as amazing as your field work. I am very impressed by the portfolio you have, you gallery just continues to blow my mind. I really like the difference in lighting in this particular photo compared to what you typically work with. It gives a certain focus to the photo that outdoor shots don't often capture. The colour contrast between the backdrop and the absolutely freakin' adorable puppies was well chosen; Black with purple undertones (or dark purple?) adds a certain serenity and innocence to the picture (a darkened calmness might I describe) all the while keeping the dark rebellion of puppies in mind. I really love looking for, and seeing, how colour creates emotions and thoughts within a photograph. Mind you, on top of the emotions I get from colours, I love to see such a dark classy colour like this used to enhance and bring out the pale colours of the breed. I am sure you got multiple shots from this shoot,. but this one was a good choice and great eye - The central pup with all his focus on the camera (and all the camera's focus on him) makes for a beautifully put together photograph that the owners of this litter should be forever proud of.
Sorry for the excessive paragraph comment!

You're welcome!
It went okay, they were too young and my dog is known for being like "the walking infection" so we basically weren't able to bring anything of our own for sheets/etc and all that they had was a greyish blanket and a blue dog bed, buuuut eh. It didn't really work out and I hope this Sunday I can shoot them again! They're 8 weeks or so now!

Hm, not really mastiff. More like a bull breed. They are too light and slim to be called mastiff type I think.

I am having a puppy overdose. Gosh its been months since I've seen, touched, smelled a puppy. I miss having them close and my dogs are getting old , thought I still call them my puppies lol. Oh thanks for this pic, now I've discovered another breed of dog.

Yes, that's strange - no matter how old our pups get they will always be our puppies <3
