tipo se a folha for fininha convém arranjar alguma base para que não se estrague... eu faço os meus com papel aguarela por isso tem espessura suficiente

I'll give you an advice that might help you since it's working with me! try practicing small areas first! for example, this ACEO the size of a trading card, very small! it might require a little patience too... I failed too many times before I could actually paint something XD

it's hard to be patient. i don't know if you've looked at my gallery, but my pictures take about five hours at least, and that's if i'm being lazy

five hours minimum is being patient =3
because my lack of patience I end up quitting lots of drawings XD
anyway with time and practice we get faster and better... the patience comes here!

that is very true. And there are some pictures i've given up on mainly cuz i lost interest cuz of the way it was looking. meh, i dunno. i need to start drawing more realism

I myself don't think it is bad to quit a drawing... if you are not satisfied with it then the thing you got to do is start something new!
this way I won't feel bad for the hundreds of drawings I didn't finished XD
