Sketch with pencil first (you can always rub it out later, as long as you didn't colour over it). Start with a base of light colours, then add darker tones.

Marker paper is also sometimes very thin, you could put your sketch under the marker paper and tape it to your desk.
Good luck! <3

Don't have too high expectation, go for fun! 8D

I use markers and I got used to them over the course of...6 years maybe? xD But yea, I never had much trouble with them. But I have to admit, you need a tiny bit of patience in the beginning. Though I'm not quite sure, what you had problem with? Maybe I can help you. What do you want to achieve? Do you got for the flat look (like inking or stuffs) or do you want to create some kind of flow? :3
Because this looks pretty good for the beginning. I'd prefer it, if there wasn't so much pencil if you do shadows with liners as well, but apart from that I like it. :3

Well I can't comment on the artistry or technique of coloring with markers but I can say that it is so odd seeing older Naruto and Sasuke, sitting together and just enjoying a movie/show together lol

I don't like using markers because I make waaaay too many mistakes. But I do like to see other artists use them. Yours looks great!

Oh how I hate markers. I have a hard time coloring anything unless its with a computer. Same with sketching and stuff. I think you did wonderfully for your first time. I'm sorry I don't have any tips for you. Great work though.

Hm... personally, I prefer your normal style. I don't use markers, and I only recently found a coloring style that I actually like (which involves outlining the inside area and then hatching with a pencil... it works surprisingly well, and I liked the outcome on Power Twins when I used it) and I'm not a very good artist besides, so I can't really help.

I think it looks pretty darn good! don't worry about it, as long as you think it's alright it must be!
I can't draw or color (color is my worst enemy) this good so I'm afraid i have no tips...
