A little while back I was looking at art and saw a 2 tailed mermaid and I was like “That makes so much sense!”. If they’re suppose to go from fins to legs (and use the bathroom) wouldn’t it be easier if their tail was 2 instead of 1? And then I saw Disney's Luca and I’m like “YESSS!!! That’s how transformation’s done!!!” Idk, to me it just made sense. Tho aside from knowing that they’re myths, I know nothing else about mermaids. But I was feeling super inspired to try making this Merboy that I’ve named Maitani (I made him a month ago, finally named him today), so I did. One day I’ll work harder on backgrounds 🧐 (maybe).
Btw, should anyone wonder what I used to do this pic, I use an art app called Procreate on my iPad. I like it, but if anyone uses something they feel’s better/easier, feel free to let me know.
