I've been eyeing this challenge for a while and ended up giving it a go!
While we're here, I feel obligated to share my AU's and headcanons so here we go haha
Also a note, they are scaled appropriately to size in comparison with eachother, if that makes sense. See how Mheetu is much smaller than the others? It's all to scale, so you can estimate about how big they would all be next to each other!
- Also, I substituted Afua for Kovu/Kiara's second cub because I just didn't feel like drawing a random cub from Mufasa's cubhood that will never be relevant in anything I write or draw

Uru
--
Uru has a kind and bubbly personality that is ever present despite her diplomatic grace and subtle sternness. She doesn't take any sh*t and expends much of her energy on keeping the Kingdom running smoothly while staying chipper and cheering up any pride members that may need it. They all look up to her and admire her as the strong queen she is. Despite marrying the King Ahadi for purely diplomatic reasons, she has fallen head over heels for him, and he likewise. They hold each other up through thick and thin and love each other no matter what.

Ahadi
--
King Ahadi is often too exhausted after dealing with the day-to-day responsibilities of running a Kingdom to be much of a personality, often seeming disheveled and grumpy, but he loves his family and always tries to be the best he can for them. He adores his Queen, and is a kind and nurturing father to their cubs, providing them the wisdom they need to grow into exceptional lions. He is a benevolent ruler, respectful of the circle of life, which he always stressed to his cubs to pass on to future generations.

**Please Note: In my AU, neither Uru or Ahadi are cruel to their children, and they never neglected Taka or influenced him to be the way he ends up being. Despite him not being trained to be future king like Mufasa, Taka was still given plenty of beneficial family time and love from both parents and essentially taught the same principles as his elder brother.**

Mheetu

I said I wouldn't be including Mheetu in my AU, but after some thinking I decided I can actually slip him in there and make it interesting without disrupting much of my timeline after all!

Scar and Sarafina were definitely once in love and had one cub together, Mheetu.
He grew up to be a scrappy, sickly looking fellow his entire life, just barely hanging on as if in spite. He could be very comparable to his half-brother Nuka, sharing lackluster wits, skill, and looks. The only thing Nuka had over Mheetu was a loving, albeit 'cruel' family and a noble death for their cause.
Sarafina thought Mheetu was stillborn and laid him to rest far from the pridelands under a beautiful, blossoming tree, and from there a rogue lioness found him still alive and breathing. Thinking he was abandoned, she took him with her since her own newborn cub had died a few days prior.
His true parents literally never found out he was alive, which may have been for the better, since it's likely that neither would truly want him.
Mheetu lived a sad, short life, loving no one and being loved by none in return after his adoptive mother died; being a social outcast and burden to most creatures, he wandered the desert (such as the one Simba ran through to return home) and slowly lost his sanity more and more as he chased mirages and eventually starved to death.

Kopa
--
Kopa is Simba and Nala's first born cub, and in my AU he does not live to adulthood, sadly. He is preyed upon by the vindictive outsider Queen Zira who has gone mad with sorrow over the loss of her beloved Scar, still seeking to settle a debt of life and death with Simba's pride. Her and her pride make several attempts on his life, all failing each time. Eventually, Kopa does die, however it is not by her doing, thus driving her to train Kovu for the immoral task of carrying out her vengeance on Simba or his new daughter.
If Kopa did live, he would be kind, shy, and hesitant to trust others.

UPDATE:
I have since rewritten Kopa's story. He will still be Simba and Nala's firstborn, however he ends up running away with a handsome rogue he falls in love with, choosing love and rebellion over his pride and responsibilities.

Kosi (Koh-See)

Kosi is Kiara and Kovu's second cub born about a year after his older sister Kyra. Their mother respected Kyra's wishes to not inherit the throne, and so the role became Kosi's to fill. Luckily, he has always been very enthused about being King someday and is glad to take on his royal obligations. He has a lot of love for his family and pride, eventually becoming a wonderful and kind king that his ancestors would be proud of. He shares an off the wall sense of humor with his sister and is one of her best friends throughout life. He's a big soft scruffy boi <3

Kyra (Kai-Rah)
--
Kyra took after her mother in never wanting to be queen, and since Queen Kiara understood, she decided to break tradition and allow her daughter to secede from her obligation to be queen, thus making her younger brother future King. Luckily it all worked out well, and all live in peace and happiness with their choices. Kyra has a unique sense of humor and interests that set her apart from most lionesses her age. She eventually partners up with a lovely lioness, living on the outskirts of the pridelands.
