You know, you could be protective without being insulting. Absolutely all of your assumptions were wrong, and I have no idea why you got overprotective over some light mockery of one of your favorite characters. All I did was place a princess hat on him (and sure, Glitterfly is stupid, but in case you didn't notice, you commented on something 4 years old and placed in Scraps.)
There are several characters I adore with all of my heart. I don't randomly begin to insult people (and their families) for joking about them or disliking them. Why?
Because I love them enough that I know people lightly teasing them aren't going to effect my enjoyment and adoration of them in the least. If you truly love something, then you should be able to laugh at it, or brush small things and little jokes aside.
If not, you just come across as immature, unable to accept others' opinions, ill-tempered, and someone who the internet is going to rip apart easily.
If you react like that just to the picture of Edward in a princess hat and blush, I don't want to see your reaction towards one of the actual harsh critiques or rants about him.
