The character looks great!
There's a French movie, Angelique, where a young noble overears old men comploting against the king. It's a bit old but you could findit and maybe get inspired

The characters may seem cliché now, but for the time it was quite a scandalous movie for Angelique actually had a sexual life and desire, and resisted her husband and the society

This one is really neat! She needs to be extra careful. Wouldn't want those guys knowing that they've been overheard. 
Reminds me of the classic Adventures of Robin Hood film with Errol Flynn. Maid Marian overhears Prince John and Sir Guy dispatching an assassin to go after King Richard.

Yes! I definitely agree. Wouldn't want to be caught by those guys. And goodness, I love that movie! It did remind me a lot of Robin Hood when I was painting it.
