Description A self portrait of me, Saraly. I am holding the camera above myself and resting my head on my left arm. I didn't really keep track of how long this had taken but I did look at the clock every now and then..I would estimate between 10-12 hours. I hate that stupid line from the scanning..and I don't have photoshop so that sucks even more. Thanks for looking.

You say you used 2h, b, 6b, and 8b.
But it also says mechanical pencil...
Now I'm a novice sketcher, but does that mean that you found 2h, b, 6b, and 8b in a mechanical pencil...
To me, that doesn't sound right...
But.. like I said I don't know for sure....
I really.... Really like the shading.
And you've done a great realistic look.
So compliments to you.

Thanks for the comments ..no, it also means I used a mechanical pencil on the side for fine details such as inside the eye and eyelashes. Thanks again

holy crap...this is really good. i'm jealous. and intimidated. the fact that you made it look this good in just plain pencil is even more astonishing...I work in a similar style, except I use charcoal...just thinking about the number of hours it'd take for me to finish a painstakingly-detailed portrait such as this in pencil makes me throw up in my mouth a little bit. but anyway, now that i've made that pleasant statement...Hooray for drawings!
