With little to no magic of her own, she relies on her own physical ability and preparedness to get the drop on an opponent before they have a chance to use magic or draw their weapon. She has extremely good reflexes from long hours of training to make herself surprisingly light on her feet, and thus for quick reactions to opponents. When coupled with her skills in observation it all comes together to end a fight as efficiently as possible.

• Spear wielder: Her preferred weapon in combat. Her skill with this weapon is almost unparalleled. It is excellent for wide spaces with many enemies, since her strength allows for strong swipes to knock multiple opponents off balance. The blade she is most proficient with is known as a straight-headed spear.
• Sword user: Her side-arm of choice for times when her favored weapon is too cumbersome, Makoto also carries a blade known as a knightly sword. Her skills with this weapon aren’t as impressive as with the spear, but it is best to avoid underestimating her. The blade is also enchanted to help keep an opponent’s magic from influencing the metal.
• Martial artist: Even without a proper weapon Makoto is a force to be reckoned with. Her build and height give her a natural strength even with her bare hands, and her speed when unencumbered with a weapon is quite formidable.
